In the following paragraphs we describe how we process your personal data. Personal data is all data that allows conclusions to be drawn about your person, such as your name, date of birth and your contact details. We comply with all legal provisions of the Austrian General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act and the Telecommunications Act.

Types of data processing and their legal bases
We process your personal data for the following purposes:

1. Donation Management
If you donate to our organization, we process the data that we receive as part of the donation, i.e. your name and IBAN. We use this data to book your donation.
Legal basis: Fulfillment of contract in accordance with Art 6 Para 1 lit b GDPR

2. Newsletters
On our website you have the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter. We use the data that you give us in the course of registering to send our newsletter. You have the option to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. In this case, we will delete all data that you have made available to us for this purpose.
Legal basis: Consent according to § 107 paragraph 1 TKG in conjunction with Art 6 paragraph 1 lit a DSGVO

3. Mail
We use your data to send you information about our activities and projects by mail or, if you give your consent, by email. The purpose of these mailings is to inform you about our association and to gain support for our projects.

4.Cookies
We only use essential cookies on our website. Essential cookies make the website usable for you by taking over basic functions such as page navigation or basic settings. Because the website cannot function without these necessary cookies, you do not have the option to opt-out of their use.
We use the following essential cookies:
• pll_language
This is a script that detects your preferred language and sets the website accordingly.

The transfer of your personal data
We only transfer your data to third parties if we are legally obliged to do so, it is necessary to fulfill a contract, you have expressly consented to the transfer or this is necessary to fulfill a legitimate interest.
We never pass on your data for commercial purposes and do not market it in any other way.

 

Storage duration
Your personal data will only be retained by us for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes set out above and as permitted by applicable law. In any case, we store your personal data for as long as there are statutory retention periods.


Your rights in relation to personal data
Under applicable law, you are entitled, among other things:

1. to check whether and which personal data we have stored about you and to receive copies of this data.
2. Request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. This serves in particular to ensure that we no longer contact you in the future.
3. to request the correction, supplementation or deletion of your personal data that is incorrect or not processed in accordance with the law. Your data can only be resolved once the statutory retention periods have expired. If your data is deleted, it cannot be prevented that we will contact you again in the future.
4. You also have the right to object to processing for direct advertising/fundraising purposes at any time. If processing is based on your consent, you can revoke this at any time.
5. In addition, for the purpose of data transferability, you can request that your data be made available in a structured, common and machine-readable format or, if technically possible, that it be transferred to another person responsible.
6. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if you believe that your data is being processed unlawfully.
