Since the inception of this organization almost four years ago, we have been supporting Dina, a single mother who grew up orphaned and without access to education, and her daughter Zana. With no qualifications to join the workforce and no one to look after her baby, we helped Dina with a variety of things throughout the years, including enrolling her daughter Zana in a local kindergarten program, so that Dina could take up lessons at a beauty salon to become a certified hairdresser and makeup artist.
Since then, a lot of time has passed and Zana recently turned five. The eager little girl has been exceptionally fast at learning both the Cambodian and Latin alphabet and has been wanting to start school for the longest time. She is extremely happy that she was finally able to start first grade this fall.

Dear supporters of Thomlang – Cambodian Youth Support,
My name is Dina and today I would like to tell you some news about my daughter Zana. Now she is already 5 years old. On the 1st of November, she will start her 1st class at Primary School school. Ever since she was a little child, she always wanted to study a lot and was jealous of the older children who already attended school. So she was really looking forward to becoming a first-grade student, seeing her new class, and making new friends. She was very excited when she got the uniform and study supplies.
I would like to say thank you thank you so much for supporting my daughter. I truly wish she will grow up with a full education. Right now she says that she wants to be a doctor in the future, just like her so-called Papa Julian.
Our plan right now is that Zana will go to study at Primary School in the morning and in the afternoon she will study in English class. In the past, she has been practicing writing in kindergarten already, and right now her writing looks better and better. In her free time, she likes to play with friends or play with cats. She really loves animals. At our home, we have some dogs and cats.
