2025 School Project

Every year, giving back to the community is at the heart of what we do. While our individual student support remains a core focus, we believe it is equally important to reach a wider circle of children and families who are part of the environment that has shaped our students’ lives.

Most of our students grew up in an orphanage in a small rural village in Kampot, where our shared journey began nearly 13 years ago. Beyond the orphanage itself, the surrounding community, including neighbors, classmates, and teachers, has played a vital role in their upbringing and education. To this day, we remain closely connected with the directors and teachers of two local primary schools: Angponleu Primary School and Teb Vimean Primary School. Together, these schools serve more than 400 students from grades 1 through 6, including several children and families who also receive support through our familial aid program.

Over the past four years since launching Thomlang – Cambodian Youth Support, your generous donations enabled us to carry out annual community projects during the Pchum Ben holidays in the fall, just before the start of the new school year. Each year, we provide every student at Angponleu and Teb Vimean Primary Schools with essential school supplies, distributing more than 1,000 notebooks, pens, and pencils on site.

This ensures that every child can begin the school year with confidence, while easing the financial burden on their families.

In addition to school supplies, we also fund essential maintenance and improvements at both school campuses. This year, alongside repairing damage caused by the rainy season, we were able to install a new water pump at Teb Vimean Primary School, ensuring safe and reliable access to clean water for students and staff.
