Yean’s English School Enrollment

English language proficiency has long become a crucial requirement for jobs in Cambodia’s rapidly growing labor market. In an effort to prepare young Cambodian students for high-income job opportunities, it has been one of Thomlang – Cambodian Youth Support’s main priorities to support students with English language classes.

After his high school graduation 2 years ago, we supported now 19-year-old Yean with moving to Phnom Penh and enrolling in Law school. In order to lay the important groundwork for his future as an aspiring lawyer, we additionally encouraged him to register at the Australian Center for Education, one of Cambodia’s leading English language schools. Students have to pass 12 language levels to receive an official language proficiency certificate upon graduation.

Hello everybody!

My name is Yean and I would like to tell you about my experience at the Australian Center for Educatio.

I started my studies at ACE in January this year. After taking the placement test, my first level at ACE was level 2, but throughout the past three terms, I have already advanced to studying in level 5.

I want to say thank you for supporting me with studying at ACE. Registering for more English lessons was a decision I made because I wanted to improve my English skills in a focused, engaging environment. The structure of the lessons and the experienced teachers have really helped me develop my language abilities, and I feel my English skills are growing every day. Learning English is important to me because it opens up so many opportunities, whether in my professional career, academic goals, or even while traveling. It’s a global language that will allow me to connect with people from different backgrounds, and it’s essential in today’s interconnected world.

Thank you so much for supporting for being interested in my journey university and at ACE.

All the best,
Yean
